Meet Chief Chris Shaw
A Texas Police Chief, a certified Texas License to Carry Instructor, and a lifelong advocate for responsible, well-trained gun owners.
I'm a graduate of the FBI National Academy and the LEMIT Leadership Command College, a Master Peace Officer, and a certified law enforcement firearms instructor teaching handgun, patrol rifle, and conducted electrical weapon courses. Training and teaching are my passion.
The story behind the badge
I've spent my career in Texas law enforcement — patrol, investigations, command, and now Chief of Police. Along the way I've seen what separates trained, confident gun owners from people who bought a firearm and hoped for the best.
I teach the Texas License to Carry course because too many folks pass the exam without ever really understanding the law, their firearm, or what to do when things go sideways. My classes fix that.
You'll get the state-required curriculum, but you'll also get real stories, real answers, and a clear picture of what carrying in Texas actually looks like — in your car, in a restaurant, on the road, at home.
